My head hurts...

These words just came out of my darling daughter's mouth. She is crazy for MEDICINE... Yes, the sugary tasting Children's Tylenol or Ibuprofen that we can't get her to take when her head really does hurt and she needs it. The mind of a child is amazing, or is it that we just don't buy much sugar and my child is so deprived of it that she resorts to faking an illness? Not to miss school or get out of something she doesn't want to do...just for a small taste of sugar. Sigh....what awful HEALTHY parents we try to be. "Honey, eat this instead, these carrots are healthy sugar, and so much better for your teeth." Doesn't work, she walks away sad... So how bad is it that I have a secret stash of Dark Chocolate M&M's that no one in the house is aware of but me? Please don't tell the 4 year old, ok? (or for that matter the hubby...hehe)

Emma has a sweet tooth too...really bad. At Whole foods (in the refrigerated section with the yogurt and milk) they have these awesome chocolate bars that have live acidopholus cultures and nutrients in them. They are YUMMY, low in sugar, and tastier than eating yogurt. I will give those to Emma now and then to satisfy the cravings. When she is in bed I sneak blue bell ice cream. ; )
